Names help us to understand the world, and as we move deeper into the AI era, it is clear that our adaptation to AI requires us to fashion a vocabulary to define our emerging instructional practices.

In this Fall 2025 meeting of the LRC AI Working Group, we will seek to give names to emerging uses of AI in language instruction. We will share several critical practices that we have developed to deploy AI in language teaching, including Modality Switching, Exploring and Filtering, Individualized Practice, and the ACTSET prompting framework. 

We also invite you to bring your own named practices to this working group meeting, and to share them with your colleagues.

All are welcome – you do not need to have attended previous AI Working Group sessions to attend this one!
