Eyshe Beyrich, Isabel Blankfield, Jutta Schmiers-Heller, and Xuxu Song invite you to an encore of their NECTFL presentation. This session is the product of a continued effort of collaboration between German and Yiddish in the Department of Germanic Languages at Columbia University. This session presents the concept of ‘memory culture’ in German and Yiddish studies in a different way aiming to reconstruct what has been lost through looking at memory culture as a living community from past and present angles.
