This Friday at 1:30pm, join us on Zoom for a meeting of the LRC AI Working Group: "AI Agents and Language Learning: Presentation and Discussion."
The LRC AI Working Group will convene to discuss the rapid evolution of agentic AI, which refers to AI tools that actually respond to commands and perform actions, rather than simply conversing in a browser or app like the chatbots with which we have become familiar.
The meeting will start with a presentation of two platforms, Muse and Instinct, contextualized within the larger ecosystem of AI agents. We will then have a discussion as to the potential uses and misuses of AI agents in the context of language study.
Our goal in the discussion will be purely informative, seeking to understand this new technology better, and staying up-to-date with the latest developments in this area, rather than advocating for a particular stance on its usage.
